Is ZONES Math a curriculum?
Answer to question 0
Do you have to do every zone every day?
What does a typical day using the zones structure look like?
What can students who finish their zone work do?
There's many options for those fast finishers!
#1 Remember, in the MemoriZe zone the work never ends! Students should be practicing facts the entire time.
#2 If students are in another ZONE and finish early, default could be to do to MemoriZe!
#3 Students can complete unfinished work from other ZONES.
#4 Extension activities such as Number of the Day / Spiral Review Sheet / Brain Teasers.
#5 Allow for students to use problem solving math games/puzzles.
(Examples: Head Full of Numbers, Moby, Rush Hour, Rubik's Cubes, Shape Activities - Pattern Blocks/Pentominoes/Tangrams)
